  1. (1950-2016) a British architect, born in Iraq, whose designs for buildings won many international awards. They were often very unusual and many of them were not built. Built designs include the Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art in Cincinnati, a building for the Vitra furniture company in Germany and the Hoenheim North tram station in Strasbourg, France.
