Snowdon

- a mountain in north-west Wales, in Snowdonia national park. It is the highest mountain in England and Wales (1085 metres/3560 feet). There is a railway that goes to the top which was built in the 19th century and is very popular with tourists. The mountain's Welsh name, Yr Wyddfa, is preferred by many people and is the name used by the national park authorities since 2022.
