- an MGM film (1952) which many people think is the best musical comedy film ever made. The stars were Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Connor. The story is about the troubles that stars of silent films had when sound films began. The songs include Singin' in the Rain, Good Morning and Make ’Em Laugh. In 1983 Tommy Steele directed and was the star of a stage version in London.
