Noddy™
/ˈnɒdi/
/ˈnɑːdi/
- a character in a series of young children's books by Enid Blyton, the first of which was published in 1949. Noddy is a small boy with a large head on which he wears a long blue cap with a bell on the end of it. He lives in Toytown and drives a small red and yellow car. His best friend is an old man called Big Ears. The local policeman is Mr Plod. The Noddy books have sometimes been criticized by adults for being old-fashioned and even racist but they are still very popular with children.
