Mount Rainier

- the highest mountain in the Cascade Range of the US state of Washington. It is 14 410 feet/4 395 metres high and is a volcano that is no longer active (= a mountain from the top of which melted rock and gases once exploded with great force). It is in Mount Rainier National Park.
