- one of the teams in Formula One motor racing, with its main base in Britain. The company was established by Bruce McLaren (1937-70), a former racing driver from New Zealand. It is one of the most successful teams with many of its drivers, including Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna and Louis Hamilton having become world champions.
