- the name of a number of holiday villages in the UK and Europe originally operated by a Dutch company which opened its first centre in the UK in 1987. The accommodation is in small houses in the countryside, usually in a forest. There are cafes, restaurants and other facilities, and many sports and activities especially for families, including a large central covered area with swimming pools and other water activities.
