Minneapolis

- the largest city in the US state of Minnesota. It is an industrial port near the northern end of the Mississippi River. The river separates it from St Paul, Minnesota, and they are together called the 'twin cities'. Minneapolis was settled in 1847 and became a town in 1867. It is an agricultural centre for the northern Middle West. Other companies there make computers and provide health services.
