    CultureWhen a queen is ruling, the King's Bench is called the Queen's Bench. In the past its head was the king or queen, but today it is the Lord Chief Justice. It deals mainly with civil cases, for example ones in which money is claimed because of loss or damage, but it may also deal with appeals in criminal cases.
