- (1893-1951) a Welsh composer, actor and writer of plays. He wrote many successful songs and musical plays, in some of which he also acted. Two of the best known are Glamorous Night (1935) and King's Rhapsody (1949), and his songs include Keep the Home Fires Burning, which was very popular during the First World War.
