- a US film (1946) about a man who wishes he had never been born, and the wish becomes real. Frank Capra directed it, and the star was James Stewart, who later chose it as his favourite of all the films he made. The story shows how the man's family would live if he had not been born. He realizes the importance of his life and is allowed to live again.
