- Jay Hanna Dean (1911-74) a famous US baseball pitcher (= player who throws the ball to be hit). He was chosen for the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1953. His best years (1930-37) were with the St Louis Cardinals. He was named the Most Valuable Player in 1934.
