- (1908-89) a US film actor for more than 50 years. She was famous for playing strong emotional parts and for smoking a lot. She received Oscars for Dangerous (1935) and Jezebel (1938). Her other films included All About Eve (1950) and Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?(1962).
